Leisl Lucerne-Knight

Leisl Lucerne-Knight (they/he) is a Boorloo based emerging multidisciplinary maker, performer and wrangler of chaos. Their work is a writhing batter of queer absurdity where drag, clowning, puppetry, movement and installation all fold into one ludicrous cake. They graduated with a Bachelors of Performing Arts (Performance Making) from WAAPA in 2023 after completing their training on exchange at the Intercultural Theatre Institute in Singapore. Recent projects include XXHornySlug69XX (Marli Jupiter The Blue Room Theatre, 2024 Summer Nights), [RE]COMPOST ( Leisl Lucerne-Knight and August Pope, KickstArt Festival, 2024), The Late Great Andrew Tate (Sailing with Styx, TBRT’s 2024 Summer Nights), and The State (Rhiannon Bryan and Marli Jupiter, TBRT 2024 Annual Season) which they will be touring to Naarm 2023 as part of Theatre Work’s annual Fresh Works program.
