Nicholas Stark

Nick Stark is an emerging interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Boorloo/Perth.

A technologist who seeks to bridge sound and visual art, Nick draws from a quarter of a century of professional experience ranging from software development to yacht design.

This has afforded Nick the opportunity to develop a range of tools for innovative approaches to composition and sound/visual design, such as custom electronics and software for networked systems for interactive 3D visualisation of live performance, as well as standalone devices for music sequencing and synthesis and real time control.

He has been fortunate to perform in multiple Perth Fringe Festivals, Fairbridge Festivals and won one of the Tura composition commissions for the ‘@TheRoots’ for underground and experimental artists in 2020.
