COLLABORATIONS
The interdisciplinary process generates multimodal access points to catalyse creative flow. Collaborating with musicians live allows us to shape kinetic and acoustic space together, as a fluid continuum. I delight in the ability to discover the work, and abandon my preconceived ideas about what I will create as I collaborate, letting the relationship inform the creative process rather than seeking only to dictate it.

In collaboration with Azariah Felton (composer / sound designer), Ash Morgan & Clancy Martin (visual artists) Sarah Chaffey (performer), and Leah Sellwood (social media marketer), we are developing a performance art installation featuring an interactive interface. The interactive component in the present iteration features the ability to manipulate visual and sound elements through movement detected via Kinect and touchpad controllers on a Touch OSC and MaxMSP/Jitter.

This creative development features choreographic exploration of a 12'x12' origami structure. Created in collaboration with Nathan Coburn, this structure is a representation our multi-dimensional reality and our consciousness of its nature and our place within it. In addition to the dance, we also have footage of its full-scale, non-modular creation, a performance art in itself. Performed by Anja Fanslau, filmed by David Cooper.

Love is not enough explores the barriers and representations of self we construct in navigating society. We explored lighting design to create illuminated projections of the dancers within Haven Clouds provided from Tangible Studios to illustrate this. This collaboration continues post-production with an original composition by musician Samantha Cheng.
