to be an artist is to reveal truth
WORK
I don’t see dancers’ bodies, but minds on stage.
Choreography is more to me than just movement, but layers of concepts, themes, emotions, narratives, personalities, and social dynamics intersecting with dance, music, and staging.

I see ballet and contemporary approaches to movement as moving towards a common goal – economy of movement. I believe that it is through this that it is possible to layer on artistic depth. I seek to make work that reveals truth and connects to an audience.
STAGE WORKS
I have made a number of works for stage, including Splice, C'est ne pas une chaise, Flash point and Heartbeat:series.
DANCE FILM
I have made a number of works for film, including Kindred (亲), Pipe Dream, Love is not enough and Tesseract Topography.
COLLABORATIONS
The interdisciplinary process generates multimodal access points to catalyse creative flow. Collaborating with musicians live allows us to shape kinetic and acoustic space together, as a fluid continuum. Collaborating with installation artists creates new avenues for choreographic exploration.
REPERTOIRE
I have learnt and performed repertoire from Hofesh Shechter, Crystal Pite, Rami Be'er, Mats Ek and Jiri Kylian, who I rank amongst my choreographic influences.
